Although my school district is back to in person learning, some of my students are quarantined and therefore are still learning from home. Many of them struggle with submitting handwritten work that supports their mathematical responses due to the fact that they find writing directly on touch screens using their fingers and/or typing their responses using the keyboard time consuming and challenging. Student access to a capacitive stylus pens will increase handwritten work submission by reducing the time it takes to write out responses. It takes much less time to compose and submit a hand written response directly on a touch screen than it does to either word process or to write on a separate sheet of paper then upload to the software we use to view and submit work. Having access to a capacitive stylus pen will make writing on touch screens more natural and more legible. It will also make it easier for me to read and provide real-time feedback.
