Art is a great way to express thoughts and feelings. Third graders have lots of feelings and often don't know how to express them. Through art and engaging creative activities students will be able to express themselves and feel safe doing so. They will learn and grow creatively while identifying feelings. This will help with growth mindset as well. Using the Cricut cutting machine and supplies, they will learn, share, and create with their classmates. These activities will engage students to communicate about their projects while feeling a sense of pride and self worth. Their peer relationships will grow as well as developing empathy, showing support for others, and self expression.
