The use of technology is a daily activity in my classroom. In January, I decided to do centers for Science and Math. Using an iPad to deliver technology programs and apps such as Phet Simulations will greatly increase the learning of science content and will build awareness to questions that may be on the RISE Test in the Spring. This iPad will reinforce skills and enable higher level learning. An iPad helps students who are visual and kinesthetic learners open the door of education and it provides an individual knowledge of content area experiences. The Ipad will be an extra tool to help create more understanding of simulations, subject topics, etc. My students will be able to create both independent and group projects in order to show a true understanding of the concepts they are working on in their center. This will help my students become aware of the fast paced technology world. By having this Ipad, students will thrive not only in school subjects but will gain a greater knowledge of new technology concepts.
