As an SEL Coach, I see many students that need extra support to help them become the best students and ultimately people, they can be. Just as each child is different, so are the tools and resources needed in order to help them work through whatever their issues are. Children learn best through hands on activities like art and play and this holds true for learning about their emotions and how to handle them as well. Most children do not have the vocabulary to explain their emotions, but these can be expressed through painting and play.
