There are many times that children need a chance just to take a break or take a breath. I like to provide a corner in my room that my students can use to take a break from the stress that they might be feeling in the regular classroom. The chairs are to create a safe and cozy environment. The books are there for children to look at or for an aid to read to them. They will read the books and be able to recognize and name the feelings they are going through. This will help them to be able to take a break and move on to the next classroom project. The toys will help them with their mindfulness and give them a chance to calm down and breath.
