The importance of gross and fine motor skills for mental, social, and emotional development has been extensively studied. After these two years immersed in a health crisis, children have had fewer opportunities to improve their motor skills and therefore be better able to learn. With the materials that I request for the project, my students improve their basic skills, both gross and fine, necessary for mental development and therefore be prepared to learn better. With the triangle climber, balance blocks, coordination equipment, rings, cones, ropes, and twister, they will develop their coordination, balance, strength, flexibility, speed, laterality and release tensions to learn better. With the Meonum Ring Tossing Game, they will also improve their math skills while they are playing. I will create circuits and games in my classroom at the beginning of the day and during active breaks. After the psychomotor activities, my students could work relaxed, concentrated and their brains will be prepared for new knowledge.
