One by one we pulled out the items for our classroom. \r\n\r\nThe wiggle stools received a big cheer! These stools help many students get their energy out and focus on their learning. They are prized possessions in our classroom. Student especially love to use them when they are gathered around a table for their reading book club.\r\n\r\nThe floor seat is the new favorite in the classroom! It is big and comfy and cute! The students use it to sit on the floor when they need their own space to focus. \r\n\r\nThe game kits are helping the students build their skills in grammar, phonics, writing, and language. The folder games are easy to use and and make learning fun. They provide great opportunities for collaboration too!\r\n\r\nSome of the greatest tools we received were the place value mats. these have given the students a chance to see the math we are learning. From the moment the caterpillars arrived, our students were filled with excitement and wonder. They made an incredible effort to speak in Spanish while observing and describing each stage of the butterfly life cycle. Every day, they would eagerly count the days each caterrpillar spent in each stage, and we also measured how much they grew using simple tools. The students used phrases like \"Todavía es una oruga\" \"¡Ya hay dos mariposas!\". It was amazing to see how much naturally they connected sciece, math, and language through this project.\r\n\r\nOne of the most special moments was when the butterflies were ready to be released. The students gatherer together and talked about the colors, the number of butterflies, and their observations, all in Spanish. They were proud, engaged, and fully immerse in the moment. This project sparked curiosity and gave students a real reason to communicate in Spanish. Thank you for making this unforgettable learning experience possible.
