Music Technology in recording and musical gear is rapidly changing. Giving students the ability to have hands on experience with current gear being used by industry professionals gives them true “real world” application and learning. With this equipment we will be able to explore how past and present musicians on-stage, and behind the scenes, arrange their effects to create the iconic tones found in commercial music. It will also allow students to create their own signal chains/tones at home, using the free Helix app, that can then be uploaded to the unit for analyzing and modifying in real time. All of these aspects can be used in collaboration with our Music Production studio to create top quality original student work.
