Hands-on learning is what takes science from a wink to a favorite class. These materials will help students with magnetism, force and motion, cells, and characteristics of life. The more students can touch, manipulate, and explore, the more connections they make. Squid dissection is a beautiful way to allow students to become fascinated with the intricacies of life and is usually the favorite activity of the year. Cell models and slides make complex concepts approachable and honest. The cars are used to model acceleration and how changes in mass affect motion.
