Having new, exciting, and engaging materials will help my students be excited to come to speech. Having a variety of games, sensory objects, and reinforcers will help prevent my students from being bored and will always give them something new and fun to do in their speech sessions. Having a sensory stool and some updated room decoration, such as a new rug, will make my classroom more inviting instead of just being a "typical" classroom. I want my students to enjoy coming to my classroom and feel as comfortable as they can. Students will have the ability to earn points in order to sit on the special stool, get a new fidget from the box, or get to choose the next game that we play. Having my students stay motivated is my #1 goal, so they are able to think about their speech and generalize it across settings. Tongue models are great in order to fully demonstrate what the tongue is doing in the mouth since the students cannot see due to mask-wearing. There are so many ways my students will benefit from this purchase in order to help motivate them with their speech and language!
