Six and seven-year-olds need to wiggle and move! Student wobble chairs and kick bands are designed to help fidgety children move and wiggle while they are sitting at their desks. Because they can get some of these wiggles out while sitting, they are better able to focus and process information. I have students with special needs in my classroom who would greatly benefit from these chairs and bands. Students feel empowered when they have some degree of choice and control over their environment. In addition to the wobble chairs, surf desks will offer students another choice for seating. They will also be beneficial for student group work and collaboration.
