The items I have requested will directly assist students with both academic and social emotional learning. In this time of COVID-19, not many of us are able to see much of the world outside of our own community. Many of my students and their families aren't even able to afford to travel even outside of a pandemic. Virtual and augmented reality makes this world exploration possible. Students will be able to explore sites that are important to other cultures and hopefully gain new understanding and empathy for their fellow world citizens. By working together on the augmented reality race track, they will be able to hone their communication and cooperation skills to achieve something fun.
