This compost project will allow My students will learn about the essential relationship we have with worms and other composting organisms. Worm castings are vital nutrition for garden plants. The composting bin will be used to compost with living red worms, using materials and scraps available on our campus. They will learn about the lifecycle of worms and what materials they can and can not digest The compost will even be used in our school-site planter beds. Learning this will give students skills to grow their own gardens one day.
