These materials and supplies that I am requesting for my classroom will enable me to provide my students with cross-curriculum instruction. Our reading program is comprised of a lot of wonderful science units! These science kits that I am hopeful for, will give me the opportunity to have some hands-on exploration within my classroom. Also, Utah's Science SEED standards are being taught in Spanish in our dual-immersion program, so both my ELL and Spanish language learners will benefit from this reinforcement in our English classroom. The donations of the games will give the students plenty of opportunities to interact socially, which will help my ESL students and help provide a great sense of camaraderie among our students. The classroom supplies and incentives will help to provide the students with some materials that we use daily and will help build feelings of accomplishment within the classroom.
