In first grade we do a lot of hands on learning. The kids love to move from their seats to the rug for learning. Having a nice easel that's magnetic will make such a difference in how I can teach using math manipulatives, letters, sentence strips etc. I love to see all the various ways each of my student shine! For some of my students art is their favorite thing, and helps them to enjoy school and feel successful. Watercolor paper is expensive and not provided at our school. I love to see my students feel successful and express themselves creatively! Books focused towards beginning readers aren't very well provided with our curriculum. The books provided move up quickly and there just aren't enough books for my students who take longer to read. We also use technology to enhance their learning experience. The headphones break quite frequently and I'm replacing them often with my own money.
