It is so important that the novels in my classroom reflect the racially, culturally, and socially diverse backgrounds that my students come from. Providing them with a library that reflects their families, cultures, and backgrounds will help them feel accepted and valued. My students love to read and some of the books you see here were specifically requested! Many of my students do not have a way to access high-interest books at home, and the only way they receive new titles to explore is through school. Help me make all of their literary dreams come true!
