We use whiteboards almost daily for math and spelling. The students are able to practice modeling different problems and equations. They also practice quickly writing their weekly spelling list on the whiteboards. Our whiteboards have become scratched and the back of the board has become marked from years of use. We have had to throw out some old boards that had become stained from ink being left on the board too long. With new boards, the students can have a clean, fresh surface to write on. Also, with the lines on the back, we can use the boards to help the Third Graders as they learn and perfect their cursive skills. The students will be more engaged as they are able to each have an individual board for practice. This will also help me to quickly see who is struggling and who is understanding the concept. I also want to provide the students with some flexible seating. Many students have adjusted to online learning at home and now struggle with sitting at a desk. New floor seats will provide a comfortable place for students to sit and engage with the lesson.
