In my classroom, I have a small variety of flexible seating. Students love having the choice to use them and I have seen an increase in student engagement. Through this very special opportunity, more of my students will benefit from the seating choices. Students will be able to use the wobble chairs and wobble cushions to focus as they wiggle out their excess energy. I have seen an increase of anxiety in my students, especially dealing with the effects of Covid-19. My wish is to lower that anxiety by adding the wobble chairs and cushions to work off nervous energy, while still being academically engaged. I also want to offer my students ways to relieve the pressures they are feeling through the chair bands and the fidget sensory objects. I feel as my students use these different items, their focus on learning will also increase. The Color Monster book will be used to help students pinpoint the emotions that they are feeling, especially during these trying times. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity!
