Students' minds should never be wasted. With the funding of this project, I will be able to add to my classroom library, and complete sets with my reading group library. Once I have found a genre that my kiddos enjoy, I try to purchase more so that they will find a love of reading. Science STEM & phenomena-based learning is a huge deal now, and has changed my teaching for the better! This phenomena based approach has my students sitting on the edge of their seat, wanting to try more. The kids come in each morning and see our schedule. They always get excited to see SCIENCE on the board. The use of building blocks will help with showing their models and explaining their ideas to the class. Paper, paper, and more paper! Cardstock is very helpful for use in their cursive and reading fluency workbooks (I bind them). I also use cardstock to make flash cards for practice of math facts. Nothing else will hold up like cardstock!
