These materials will be used to engage 8th grade science in learning about the world around them. Through the year, we study change over time (by investigating natural selection and the geologic time scale), energy and motion (by investigating forces and energy), waves (by investigating sound and light), and our place in the universe (by investigating the Sun-Earth-Moon system and our broader solar system). Students enjoy learning and learn the best when they are engaged in hands-on learning experiences and have opportunities for collaborative dialogue with their peers. In addition, the headphones will help my students engage in online resources, such as simulations, that model and contextualize the content they are learning. My goal is to provide those authentic learning opportunities with these supplemental materials.
