I am requesting microscopes to give them a more personalized experience looking closer at organisms. With COVID, we have had to reduce the number of times we incorporate microscopes into lessons and activities. Currently, we only have enough microscopes for students to get to observe them in shifts, where they don't get to look very long due to the time we must take to disinfect and rotate. Getting more microscopes will help my classes as a whole be able to observe the various phenomena we use to drive our life science units! This way we will only need to disinfect them in between classes and can utilize them more frequently. Students absolutely LOVE looking at living organisms and bacteria closer so I am excited to give them this opportunity!
