In my preschool classroom, we do recess every day to help improve gross motor skills. We live where the weather is often cold and we need to do indoor recess. We are also learning shapes, letters, and colors. This beanbag learning center is an engaging way to get preschoolers to learn these skills in a playful motivating way. As students throw the beanbags into the shape, color, and letter targets they can identify and name them. The Bee-Bots are an interactive way for students to engage in a STEM activity. Students will program Bee-Bots to move to a specific location. As the Bee-Bot moves along the directed path, it gives plenty of opportunities for trial and error learning. The alphabet transformers are super motivating. As preschoolers play with them they will be able to identify and name letters. When students know letter names and sounds, it makes a huge difference in reading skills.
