These books will enhance the learning that I strive to create in my classes. My classroom and school library does not have many options for sports literature. I am in need of new books that will engage the students further in their reading for this course. We currently do not have any sports literature that is targeted towards females or minor sports (not football, basketball, or baseball). I am starting fresh with this course, so I do not have any current supplies. Having a variety of novels the students can choose from will allow my students the opportunity to read books that interest them. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently with novels that actually interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
