Middle school students are naturally social! We don't want Covid to take that away. The Scholastic "Choices" magazine subscription and mindfulness games will help students continue to interact with each other in groups while learning social and mental health skills. The chime is used when we learn about mental health. One of the methods we teach for overcoming anxiety is mindfulness. For this activity, students close their eyes and focus on how long they can hear the sound of the chime. This helps them focus on something other than stress.
