My goal is to give students the best jazz education they can get in Utah. My goal is to make sure they get accepted and offered scholarships at the top jazz universities in the U.S. We need a working keyboard for our pianists, one that stays in tune. We also could use real books, to practice sight reading, memorizing, and improvising at home. Jazz improvisation takes a long time to learn and master. These materials will help my students achieve the next level in their development. We often have masterclasses that involve having the students play along with local professionals. These resources would help the students learn more tunes, and be able to master those tunes at home.
