Every student is unique in how they find success in the classroom. CICO (Check in, Check out) is a well research based tier II program developed to mentor, support, and encourage students in the classroom as they work on targeted behaviors to become efficient self mangers. This program will serve students in our school from K-7th grade. Each day, students in the program meet with a mentor before school to check in, receive, encouragement and pick up their daily point sheet, and then throughout the day, their teacher provides positive feedback and gives 1-3 points as they work on targeted behavior. The student then returns to their mentor at the end of school to review the day. Points are added up to spend daily in the program store or accumulated to purchase larger items. The above items would support the students to receive a positive reinforcement and foster the student in feeling Success in the classroom.
