As students learn about animals and insects and their habitats in 2nd grade it would be wonderful to have living insects in the classroom that they can make observations on first hand. This would be made possible through the ant farms. The worms give each student the opportunity to explore the inside of an insect and kits could also be sent home in case we have online school again due to COVID. We did this last year and many parents and students were dissecting worms at home and still talk about this experience and what they learned and discovered.
