Music is a powerful source of healing and emotional wellness. As a school counselor, I have used guitar, ukulele, and percussion instruments to help students connect with music, along with each other. Whether it's a one-on-one setting, or a group format, I know music has power to calm anxiety, increase happiness, develop friendships, create memories, and strengthen talents and passions. This year I started running a music group once a week at school, and I'm hoping to add more instruments and resources for the program. Our students need more music!
