With such an eclectic group of students in my school also brings a series of challenges. Many of our students suffer from mental health challenges and illnesses. Many struggle to use healthy coping mechanisms to get through the day and feel hopless and shut down. The tools used in this project will allow my students to learn how to channel their needs into safe and effective methods. Mental health challenges have increased severely since 2020 and I want to help my students find a way to help themselves and gain resistance. Self-coping is hard to learn but with the right tools, it can be incredibly effective and beneficial.
