I have a goal of using a lot of STEAM concepts in my classroom. To help with this idea of integrating science and technology into my classroom I am ordering some hands-on supplies that my students can use for projects in the classroom. The first kit I ordered is so my students can explore the ideas of force and motion and apply them to a chain reaction machine. This will help students experience and see the concepts of force, motion, gravity, speed, and friction. This will allow students to explore and see these things physically, instead of just imagining theories conceptually. I also ordered some supplies to help my students explore electrical circuits, and I will be applying this to a tiny house project I like to do. This will incorporate a lot of ideas into this project, including this hands-on model of a house, in which they can use the supplies to experience the way electrical circuits work in a tiny house. These supplies will be awesome for my students to use together and collaborate and learn some awesome new concepts they won't soon forget.
