Since I teach First Grade, my students have only experienced school during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I want to help them learn by addressing their social emotional needs and academic needs through flexible seating and providing resources to understand and process through emotions. I can address social and academic needs contributed to by Covid-19 by providing flexible seating and resources to help with regulating emotions and improving academic engagement. I want to use the easel and rug to set up a quality area to learn in the classroom that can be another alternative to learning in their seats. I want the emotions posters and fidget toys to set up a calm down area. Lastly, I want the variety of flexible seating options to support students with focusing in class.
