I will build a garden oasis for my school. I envision a green house, a fence to protect it, fruit trees, a beehive, and my students working to care for their bees, their garden, and their community. As my students continue to discover the world around them, they need to be able to communicate what they are learning efficiently and effectively. A lot of the items I have requested are simple classroom supplies, sticky notes, whiteboard markers, and headsets. We go through a lot of supplies each day as we engage our students and get them thinking and writing. Any new forms of media, ie markers, notepads, iPad, are more tantalizing than a regular old paper and pencil, and re-engage their brains in the task of learning. Finally, I requested new books for my library, especially bee books. I am putting together funding for a school garden, green house, fruit trees, and a beehive. I want my students to be well informed when their bees come.
