As a first year teacher beginning mid-year, a lot of the necessities of the classroom are not available to my students. Some of the main things that are required for interactive lessons include the white boards, markers and erasers. This helps to create entertaining formative exams at the end of class. Students love using whiteboards to show what they know, even student who struggle with participation in other projects will take part in these activities. In-person learning is best when students have interactive activities that engage them with the content, and a classroom conducive to those activities. These might include whiteboard formative exams, posters, drawing and coloring activities, etc... All of the supplies that I have requested are either to help with interactive activities, or to ensure that my classroom has all of the necessities to provide for the students. For example, feminine hygiene products and granola bars to ensure that my students have their basic needs taken care off, which will enable more focus on learning.
