The use of colored print and pictures will increase student attention and accuracy while reading, especially those with severe disabilities. The use of the WorldPenScan Go will allow students to independently determine the meaning of words increasing their vocabulary, decoding and comprehension by seeing and hearing passages at their fluency level. With the partnered help of noise cancelling headphones my students will be able to focus on tasks at hand while eliminating many auditory distractions. Because the WorldPenScan Go and headphones are Bluetooth capable, students will be able to pair these devices with their chrome books and effectively use text to speech and speech to text while working on assignments and tests.
