We spend lots of time learning on the carpet every day. We practice speaking, reading and storytelling during the carpet time. The students will easily know where their places are on the carpet. I can call on groups of students to read a sentence by the colors of the spots on the carpet , answer a question or practice speaking etc. It will better practice classroom management by having a specific seat for each student and improve teaching efficiency. Currently, the spots of students at carpet time are not consistent with their spots in the classroom.Therefore, students are in close contact with one another during class time and carpet time, thereby tending to spread the virus if a student gets Covid-19. More students are required to quarantine or to wear masks, which will ultimately affect the children's learning efficiency. The carpet will therefore enhance teaching and learning efficiency and maintain a safe learning environment of my classroom under the risk of Covid-19.
