The use of this designated block storage will encourage my students to use their creativity to imagine and create anything their hearts desire. Because I teach preschool, it will be so wonderful to have a block center that we are able to close in order to limit distractions during non-play transitions. I started teaching this class midway through this school year, and I've noticed my students are not choosing blocks because they don't have a designated shelf yet. I know obtaining this furniture will encourage block play and social interactions that are so critical during these early years.
