I recently lost my long-time companion. My HP Deskjet 5650. And I never realized how much I use my classroom printer until I didn't have one! Kids really benefit from things like guided notes, drawn diagrams, and printed course copies. Having immediate access to a classroom printer would make printing packets, student projects, and anything I need at the moment so much easier. We are very blessed to have a copy center, but I don't always have access to it nor do I always remember to send copies up in time to get them ready for class. Having a backup printer at my disposal would ensure that I would always have my handouts ready to go. For those learning at home, I could make my own packets without having to inundate the copy center and, again, have it ready to go at the drop of a hat.
