I want to provide my students with more hands on opportunities that will allow our classroom to be a space of learning and growth. Items I have added to my cart: 1: The ten frame answer boards, base ten magnets, magnetic time set and laminated hundreds chart. The reasons why they would be helpful are: It would update our Math manipulatives by providing my students the opportunity to visualize the concepts better as well as enhance my lessons. These resources will be used daily by my students during their Math lessons. 2: Reading guide strips. The reason why this would be helpful: during reading groups I have several students that struggle with tracking during their reading. It also helps students who struggle with dyslexia. These would be very helpful for those students. 3: Storage baskets. These are extremely beneficial in helping students stay organized. 4: New desk chairs. As I work with my students each day it would also be helpful to have a more comfortable chair(s) to teach in, especially since I spend most of my day working in groups with my students. If I can provide resources and learning opportunities for them to achieve that, then I will have successfully met my students' needs.
