Our Kindergarten through 4th grade Mild to Moderate Special Education students are currently learning to develop their foundational phonetic skills using specific programs and reading books. We need the money to purchase these additional distinct phonic skilled readers, to provide the students with opportunities to apply the precise skills they are learning through extended reading. The SPIRE readers are fully decodable text, enriched and of high interest, and will keep the students engaged and connected to real life experiences. They are specific to the needs of our special education learners.
