Chomebooks are our go to technology at our school. It is easy to check out this type of tech to our students when they need to learn at home. We will be using the tech in-class as well. There are multiple ways that these will be used, here are three ways we currently use them. 1. We love to write stories, poems, essays, journals, scripts and many more ways. One of my favorite ways is to have the students work together on Google Docs. A couple of times this year, we had students in-class working at the same time with students at home. It was amazing! 2. We take tests on them, whether that is a simple Kahoot or an end of year summative test. We share them with other grades and put enough together that we can have a one to one ratio as we test with our Chromebooks. 3. We also research with our Chromebooks. Students in sixth grade are learning a whole, new, big world of information, from cells, countries and time periods, to the people that came before us. Research is a big deal here and having a few more computers will make a big difference.
