My students have a variety of needs, based on many factors. They have learning disabilities, environmental challenges, language and communication delays, medical needs, and many are dealing with historical and current trauma. These materials will help support their learning from a whole-child perspective and provide them with the tools and resources to make progress! Research shows that students who feel safe are more able to focus on the learning task. Many of my students have attention deficits, which makes learning difficult. Those sensory needs are hard to manage in the classroom. The flexible seating will allow them to be more comfortable and remain engaged in learning. The therapy sand and gel writers are tools for a multi-sensory approach to teaching. This is great for kids with special needs, as well as for students with multiple languages.
