The books and magazines on my list will engage students in learning about US history. Bringing the Pearl Harbor attack into an easy-to-read timeline, we can focus on the people involved, and not just the major events. Likewise, the other materials will generally help with the ability to print primary source documents as a way to continue to get students to grow in their ability to understand and empathize with people in the past. Lastly, some materials will be used in getting students to analyze, evaluate, and create new mediums of learning like artwork or map tracing major events in history.
