With a television mounted on the wall to project my lesson information now I need something that allows me to annotate this information for students to better help them engage with the material! The ipad and pencil will allow me to do this when I have lessons that use maps or other visuals that can be better understood with teacher annotations. When my lessons include maps in history or geography being able to mark on these visuals to show action or highlight information is essential to increase engagement! I used to project my lessons on a white board where I could do this. Now with a television to present my lesson information I can't mark on the maps and other things that I am presenting. The ipad and pencil would allow me to do this still. This will help students increase student engagement in a time when students have so many other distractions on their mind.
