School days are jammed packed with math, and literacy. Science is often over looked as an important subject. Incorporating science a few times into my weekly schedule has given my students opportunities to share their ideas, work in partners, and explore new questions and ideas they hadn't previously thought of. Science is one of my students' favorite times of the day. They love hands on activities. Whether it's building towers out of house hold materials, or learning about animals and their habitats, students are fully engaged and eager to learn about the natural world around them. Due to covid it is difficult for students to share materials or work in larger groups. Students are able to learn more when they get to experience things for themselves. By having a notebook or science journal, students can write down what they've learned, and their ideas and discoveries.
