Our students will be publishing a book with 826 New Orleans that seeks to expand the stories we tell about history to include those most often left out of the story. For many of our students, this will be their first published work. In order to conference with authors and edit their work, our students need mics with headphones. These materials will allow students to get one-on-one editing with a mentor so that they can see themselves as authors. Through this project, our students will create a text that is valuable to their community for years to come.

About my class
