Giving my elementary students of all ages the opportunity to create with their hands and minds and escape from the craziness of the world for a few hours is priceless. These projects will reach kids at any grade level and provide them an experience that they would not be normally afforded as they come from homes of poverty. With your help, my students will be building, painting and seeing their own birdhouses put to use and will be able to enjoy these for years to come. My older students will be designing, building and launching rockets hundreds of feet into the air while learning about physics and space exploration. Thru building birdhouses and seeing them in action to building and launching actual rockets these projects will instill a sense of achievement and ability to excel at something other then school work as well as building community by working together and give students one more reason to want to come to school.
