The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will be used to create digital reading experiences as well as book club small groups. This has been a project I have wanted to implement for a while but have not had the financing to do so- I am excited to move forward with this. The organizational cart, book rack (spice rack) and tray will be placed in the back of our classroom and will help the my small group book clubs run smoothly from day to day. The flair pens and address labels will be used to organize the 'in hand library' and help students stay on track with their reading. With digital reading becoming more accessible for students I am encouraging students to access SORA on their chromebooks for reading and answering comprehension questions about their 'digital reading'. The computer mice (mouse) and batteries will be used to help make this tool run smoothly for the students. I will use the tap lights and batteries to help set up a guide for students to transition from one station to the next as they explore 'in hand reading' and 'digital reading'. I have a pretty extensive library but have added a few books I found on Amazon to supplement my in class reading library. .
