Every day, students come into my classroom to play drama games. We have a virtual wheel that we spin to decide which game we play next, but a physical wheel would allow for students to have a more personalized and interactive experience (catering to the differing needs of various students). This wheel would also be used in class as rewards or teaching opportunities, especially when in the improv unit, to help break the ice and make students excited about learning and participating. Stage makeup is a vital part of any school theatre program, however minimal the design of a show may be: it helps students engage with the material and audiences connect with the story being told. It is of upmost importance to ensure that stage makeup is kept sanitary and up-to-date to avoid skin irritation/infections as well as spreading disease/illness. The makeup we currently have is years (even decades) old and not very safe to use. Additionally, disposable tools to apply this makeup are VITAL to maintaining sanitary and healthy practices. Finally, this year our school is putting on a production of Annie! Jr. It wouldn't be Annie without the signature red curly hair!
