My students need access to quality reading materials that will open doors to them into different perspectives and cultural viewpoints. I have selected titles that will challenge and introduce them to different genres, vocabulary, and themes. Because these titles are engaging, they will be motivated to read and practice their comprehension, fluency, and skills! Most of all, these are titles that will foster their love for reading while helping them to improve their reading skills at the same time. My students just need more targeted independent practice, and finding a good book is key to motivating them and keeping them in the game.
