During the time spent learning at home, my students have come to need more movement and less time at their desks. Providing them with means to learn elsewhere would greatly increase their engagement. Increased engagement leads to increased learning. Movement has really proven to engage my students. Many of them love to tap their feet and walk around the room during lessons. Because of at home learning, they have come to learn that doing those types of things helps them learn. Providing resources like lap desks and wobbly stools will give my students ways to be away from their desk but still engaged in the lesson. Unfortunately, my classroom is not big enough to have flexible seating for every student all the time. Providing Bouncy Bands on each desk or chair will help those students who need to learn at their desk. I have a few Bouncy Bands on some chairs already, and it has greatly improved the quality of learning when they are being used.
